I’m going back home to Raleigh tomorrow to pick up my 1993 BMW 525i for the first time since August 14th. I figured might as well have all the problems worked out while I’m busy doing school things. The oil leak and transmission leak have been fixed along with a new fan clutch, new oil, a control arm retorquing (reason for weird popping noise on flat surfaces), and a new AC fan controller switch. Now the car is problem free (for now).
But I’ve noticed a trend in e34 prices recently. I personally think these people are out of their minds:
$3400 for a 200k+ mile 525i
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
$4000 for a 200k+ mile 525i
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
$8000 for a 144,000 mile 525it
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
$6666.66 for a 166,000 mile 535i (this looks identical to my car except for the wheels and the badge)
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Either the market is really good or all these people are confused. I bought my 140,000 mile 525i for $2750 and I feel like I overpaid. My car also has a new clutch and a rebuilt shifter.
